General info about Retreats

Dharma Circle Retreats have emerged from – and are continuously inspired by – the journey of discovering what it is to be human. Shaped by Yogic and Buddhist teachings, these retreats provide the space to unwind and drop into the intimacy of deep inquiry. The integration of asana, pranayama, meditation and exploration in a restful retreat environment is designed to not only awaken a profound sense of calm and wellbeing but to also encourage insight and compassion to come to life in surprising and easeful ways.

Dharma Circle Retreats with Samantha are held both locally and internationally. Please check the "Upcoming" page for details.

Photos from the September 2016 Nepal Retreat are posted below...it was another extraordinary trip. Thank you to everyone who came along - these trips are quite a journey :-). x

What others have shared after a retreat with Samantha...

"I am drawn to explore the area of mind training, ,Unchaining the mind and heart. A process of de-conditioning . When we find aspects of ourselves and areas of our lives we are having difficulty with we can turn to ancient wisdom. When these understandings, or teachings, are embodied  by a helpful guide that we can personally connect with our journey becomes more of a sharing rather than an isolated struggle. With compassion and clarity Samantha has been such a guide to me". Nick Wilson Artist NZ

"Thank you Sam for organising the retreat at Maitripa.

It was a wonderful experience for so many reasons:both body and mind being nourished by the beautiful surroundings, gentle movement and rest, delicious and plentiful food, and the delightful company of the other group participants.

Most importantly getting to spend 4 days in your warm, wise and gentle presence. It is hard to express how much I admire and appreciate the work that you do and how much I have benefited from it. In what sometimes seems to be an increasingly busy  world you created a safe, loving space for contemplation and reflection.

The insights I got and continue to get have helped me to see things  in a different light . It feels like I am waking up and can now see possibilities for peace and fulfilment that previously I would never have imagined". Jackie
